Does the idea of giving birth in a hospital make you nervous? Many women feel anxiety around a hospital environment, and as their due date approaches may be thinking about other options that can provide them with the positive birthing experience they are looking for. If your search has brought you to our practice, welcome! Our freestanding birth center may be the comforting, warm and welcoming environment you’ve been looking for to welcome your new addition.
What to Expect from a Birthing Center
While some birthing centers may be close to or attached to a hospital, our birthing center is freestanding, which means that we are independent from the hospital. We offer women a birthing environment that is as close to the comforts of home as possible. If you’re interested in having a natural childbirth and water birth, our birthing center can accommodate your delivery and labor needs.
Along with labor and delivery, We also offer a full range of services that include well-women visits, preconception counseling, breastfeeding consultations and postpartum support.
At our freestanding birthing center you’ll find a home-like quality to our accommodations including comfortable furniture, a queen sized bed, soft lighting and everything you need to make the birthing space your own. We also emphasize the importance of privacy for our expectant mothers. If your insurance doesn’t cover the cost of a private room at a hospital your only choice is to be moved to a semi-private room. At our freestanding birthing center, you will always have a private room.
We also focus on alternative and natural ways to ease the pain of
childbirth. Breathing techniques, massage, acupuncture and
hydrotherapy are all ways that a birthing center can help ease the
discomfort of childbirth. A birthing center can be a wonderful option
for low-risk, healthy women who wish to have a comfortable, peaceful
and positive labor and delivery experience.
