Well-Women Care

You may have thought that a midwife’s sole job was to deliver babies, but there is so much more that our midwifery team has to offer. In fact, we offer comprehensive well-women care to women of all ages living in and around Missoula. Whether you need to schedule your annual exam or get a Pap smear, our team can provide you with the women’s health care you need.

Here at our practice, we believe that gynecological care should be a gentle, understanding and welcoming experience. We focus on establishing and building strong trust and rapport with the patients that walk through our doors. We provide women with the information and education they need to help guide their healthcare choices and to empower them to make clear, thoughtful decisions about their health.

We understand that every woman that walks through our doors, whether they are teens, adults or seniors, require unique and individualized care. We provide a safe environment for our patients to share their questions and concerns and we are dedicated to providing you with both the answers and unique care you deserve.

Well-Women Care

Who says a woman’s annual exam has to be uncomfortable and awkward? If you’ve been looking for a female provider that offers gentle care, you’ve come to the right place. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, comfortable environment for women of all ages, especially young women, to have their annual checkup.

These annual visits are so important for a woman’s health. Whether it’s time to schedule your first well-women checkup or you’re a veteran of the process, our team can provide you with a positive experience that may change the way you view your next annual visit.

Pap Smears

A pap smear is one of the most reliable tools we have at our disposal for being able to identify precancerous and cancerous cervical cells. Women should get their first Pap smear by age 21. Women between the ages of 21 and 29 should receive a Pap smear every three year. Women between the ages of 30 to 59 may choose to get a Pap smear every three years or an HPV and Pap test together every 5 years.

We are proud to be providing comprehensive well-women care to the women of Missoula, MT. To schedule an appointment with our midwife, Dr. Hebl, simply call The Birth Center at (406) 541-7115.
